Did You Know? Dragon Age: Inquisition Recently Released

The third installment of the action adventure RPG series, Dragon Age: Inquisition was recently released. The game was developed by BioWare, and published by Electronic Arts. Several elements of the original games return in this version, along with several new twists to the story line and mode of play. Overall, the game world is larger than that of the game's predecessors and features a more open world for exploration.

In the main quest of the game, the player assumes the role of a warrior that must battle evil across multiple dimensions in order to save the world of Thedas. As in past prior game versions, the game also has a mature rating and theme. Romance and the possibility of sexual encounters between the player and NPCs exist in this version of the game, as they did in the past.

Another feature that returns from the past versions of the game is that players can choose to play as a male or female or an elf, dwarf or human. For the first time, players may also choose to play as one of the Qunari as well. Gender and race choice do affect the options that are available to the player's character later in the game.

Players are also able to upload some of their character files from the first two games, so choices made in prior editions of the game can affect the options available in this game should the player choose to continue to play as the same character. Quests and entire areas within the game can become closed off based on the choices that the player's character makes.

This version of the game places a heavier emphasis on team building and character development. The player's character must learn to work with and lead their team of other characters and position them correctly in preparation for battle. Players must capture forts and keeps to control areas in the world and help them build their strength and armaments for battle. In this edition of the game, every character in the player's party is playable during combat, and there are two separate ways to control combat as well.

Players can acquire Dragon Age: Inquisition via an optical disk or download. Compatible platforms include the PC, as well as the PS3, PS4, xBox360 and xBox One consoles. Prices for the game vary based on platform, retailer and version, and start at $59.99.
